Emirates offers a special service to passengers who observe Ramadan
In line with the traditions and values of this important religious occasion, the Dubai airline has developed a special service for Iftar meals. For flights in the vicinity of Iftar ’, the meal eaten by Muslims to break their fast after sunset every day during Ramadan, Emirates will provide small snack boxes at the entrance gate of Terminal d ’ 3 of Emirates, while larger boxes for Iftar meals will be served to passengers in flight. Large boxes containing the Iftar meal, designed by chefs Emirates, will be served in Economy class, with a selection that is similar to the one served to passengers who observe Ramadan in both Business Class and First Class.
In addition, Emirates uses a unique tool to calculate the correct time for the ’ Imsak (the time to start fasting) ’ and Iftar, While you are in flight. Emirates has developed a tool, one of a kind, in collaboration with the ’ Astronomy Group in Dubai Emirates which allows to calculate the exact timing for Ramadan, using the longitude of the aircraft, the latitude and the altitude ’ and guaranteeing the highest level of accuracy possible while you Board.
