Airbus confirmed that it had achieved its objectives for the 2014 delivering a total 629 in aircraft 89 customers (of which 8 new). Of these, 490 aircraft of the family A320, 108 wide body A330, 30 Superjumbo A380 and the first A350XWB.
“With these results, Airbus recorded the thirteenth consecutive year of growth in deliveries, surpassing the previous record established in 2013.” Underlines the European Aeronautic constructor.
Airbus has also recorded 1.456 net orders by 67 customers (of which 14 new), the second most important year in the history of Airbus with 1.321 single-aisle aircraft and 135 widebody. accordingly, at the end of the year, the order backlog reached a new record for the industry with 6.386 aircraft for a total value of 919,3 billion dollars at list prices.
At the end of 2014 Airbus held a market share of over 50% in the segment of aircraft from one hundred and more places.
“Among the commercial successes of the year,” the note highlights, “A330neo sales which recorded 120 firm orders in just six months, the decision to choose Delta l’A330neo transatlantic services and the A350 for those transpacifici, the continued success of aircraft A320neo and CEOs who have recorded numerous orders especially from the leasing company.”
