Dell continues its commitment’ Aeronautica Militare for the education and training of health professionals in the management of national and international bio-contaminated patients. AND’ started yesterday morning at l’Institute of further education and training in Aerospace Medicine in Rome, and will end Thursday with a tutorial at l’the military airport of Pratica di Mare, a course on techniques for managing and transporting highly infectious patients.
To the course – organized by Air force medical service, among the leading international air force in the air transport sector in bio-containment – take part in some 50 military and civilian health care workers, the latter from different regions of Italy on the basis of a rate of places made available by the Ministry of health.
The activity is part of a series of meetings, courses and lectures on the topic that the air force launched by time upon request and in cooperation with the Department of public health and innovation of the Ministry of health and that was attended also by belonging to foreign air forces.
The course programme, In addition to theoretical notes on the concept of bio-containment and how highly infectious disease transmission, It has a practical connotation, with the aim to share operational experience and training gained by the Italian air force during the last decade in the field, in particular, the two recent experiences for two real cases of ebola from Sierra Leone and from Sardinia.
