Yesterday, at the Museo Storico dell'aeronautica Militare di Vigna di Valle, a memorial service was held with the unveiling of a monument to commemorate Maj. Philip Fornassi, dell instructor pilot’Army aviation, included in the team for the introduction into service of the helicopter Nh90 died seven years ago while flying mission.
The place chosen, located on the shores of Lake Bracciano, encloses a large historical memories linked to load aviation feats. The infrastructure, that was the seat of the Experimental and Control Centre air rescue, Today it houses many valuable artifacts related to the world of aviation.
The commemoration, the presence of the Commander of Army aviation, General Antonio Bettelli, There were Fornassi family, the Commander of the Training Center, General Giancarlo Mazzieri, the Director of the Museum of Vigna di Valle, Lieutenant-Colonel Shane Parker, and a significant representation of’Army Aviation Association.
