At the air force base of Poggio Renatico European Personnel Recovery Center
The Center, whose head will be at the Base of the air force's air operations Command in Poggio Renatico, will have the task of conveying, on one pole of European expertise, all issues related to the area of Personnel Recovery, that is, recovery from crisis areas of military and civilian – among the latter, diplomats, journalists, Volunteers and citizens – who are in difficult situations.
The seven Nations have decided to create an international centre in Italy to deal with doctrinal development, operational and training in this area and that also fulfils the task of supporting a possible real world operation.
Within the ceremony will be held also a tutorial demo air Personnel Recovery task.
The EPRC is a multi-national project started in 2013 and conducted within the European Air Group (EAG), cooperation forum comprising the chiefs of the air forces of Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, United Kingdom and Spain in order to increase the capacity of its air forces.
The Personnel Recovery is defined as the sum of military efforts, diplomats and civilians in place in order to facilitate and/or perform the recovery and reintegration of staff isolated in a theater of operations. The definition, purposely, There are no limits on the amount and type of resources to be used in recovery.
