Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) is part of the European iMUGS (integrated Modular Unmanned Ground System) project. A consortium of 13 companies from seven European countries and the European Commission signed a contract that will receive over EUR 32 million in funding.

Gli USA autorizzano l’acquisto da parte dell’Italia dei Gulfstream G550 AISREW

Attualmente, l’Aeronautica Militare dispone di due aerei di rilevamento e preallarme Gulfstream G550 CAEW (Coformal Airborne Early Warning), che sono stati consegnati nel 2016 e nel 2018. L’Italia ricevette questi velivoli (insieme a tecnologia satellitare) in cambio della vendita a Israele di 30 addestratori Aermacchi M-346.

I due G550 saranno presto affiancati da altri due velivoli, con la stessa – più o meno – dotazione elettronica.
