KLM expands network, plans to fly to 161 destinations throughout winter 2025/26

During the upcoming 2025/26 IATA scheduling winter season, which runs from October 26, 2025, to March 28, 2026, KLM has said it will offer an expanded network of 161 destinations across its international network. This total will include 92 European destinations plus a further 69 intercontinental services. 

Compared to winter 2024/25, the total number of available seats will increase by 6%. Notably, the airline says that there has been a significant capacity expansion on routes to India (an increase of 28% compared to the same period in 2024) and also said that travel to the Caribbean is becoming more popular, seeing an increase of 17% year-on-year.

For the upcoming winter, KLM has announced it will also be adding two new destinations to its network. Starting at the end of November 2025, KLM will operate a weekly flight to Kittilä in Finland, a popular winter destination that travelers use to visit Lapland. Barbados is also returning to the airline’s network, combined with Georgetown in Guyana, which will operate three times per week from Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport (AMS).

Fasttailwind / ShutterstockAdditionally, there are also destinations that KLM launches during summer that the carrier plans to offer and operate into the winter season for the first time. These routes include Exeter (EXE) in the UK and Ljubljana (LJU) in Slovenia, both with daily flights from Amsterdam.

Internationally, KLM will fly to Hyderabad and to Barbados (combined with Georgetown) for the first time in winter 2025/26. The carrier’s new three-times weekly flights between Amsterdam and Hyderabad began on September 2, 2025, using Boeing 777-200ERs as reported by AeroTime here. Starting late February 2026, KLM will also offer direct flights to San Diego. All these intercontinental destinations will be served three times per week, also from Amsterdam.

“Together, [all 161] destinations account for around 25,000 different connections, allowing travelers from all over the world to benefit from KLM’s broad network,” said a KLM statement. “Every new destination strengthens the network and offers new opportunities for travelers worldwide.”

Additional flights on existing routes

Between early January and late February 2026, KLM will offer additional flights to Delhi and Panama City (three extra flights per week to each, totaling ten flights per week per destination). Starting mid-December 2025, services to Bangkok will increase to ten flights per week. Flights to Curaçao will go up to 11 times per week.

Kevin Porter / ShutterstockFor the entire winter 2025/26 season, Cape Town will be served 11 times per week for the first time, one more flight than winter 2024/25. Other destinations with increased frequencies include Boston, Miami, Portland, San Francisco, Bengaluru, Aruba/Bonaire, São Paulo, Lima, and San José.

In Europe, KLM said it will continue flying to Ibiza later into the season, now also in November and December 2025. After a short hiatus for the holiday period, this route will return in February and March 2026. During the same travel periods, there will be extra flights to Southern European destinations such as Naples and Athens, as well as to Bordeaux, Gothenburg, Poznan, Cork, Leeds, and Vienna.

Fleet updates

KLM also has announced that for intercontinental routes, KLM expects to welcome its final Boeing 787-10 (the airline’s 15th) during the upcoming winter season. Additionally, three new Airbus A321neo aircraft will be delivered in the coming months, joining the airline’s short-haul fleet.
