Embraer order backlog reaches $31.3 billion in ‘unprecedented high’
Embraer has described its record order backlog value of $31.3 billion as an “unprecedented high”, reflecting a 38% year-on-year increase.
On October 21, 2025, Embraer confirmed that the backlog had increased from over $31 billion at the end of Q3 2025 from $27.7 billion at the same point last year.
The backlog for executive aviation increased by 65% while commercial aviation rose by 37%. Individually, commercial aviation reported a backlog of $15.2 billion in Q3 2025, setting a new nine-year record.
The figures were buoyed by an order from Avelo Airlines in September 2025 for 50 E195-E2 jets, with purchase rights for 50 more. LATAM Group also ordered 24 E195-E2s in September 2025, with an option for a further 50.
In Q3, Embraer delivered 20 new aircraft, four more than the 16 delivered in Q3 2025. These included four E175s to American Airlines and three to Republic Airlines.
Executive Aviation / Defense
While executive aviation has built up a backlog of 7.3 billion in Q3, up 65% year-over-year, the quarter was 2% down on Q2 2025.
Executive jet deliveries for 2025 totaled 102 aircraft or 68% of the midpoint of the full year guidance (between 145 and 155 in 2025).
In August 2025, Embraer a Praetor 500 became Embraer’s 2,000th business jet delivery.
In Defense and Security, the backlog reached $3.9 billion in Q3, up 8% year-on-year. Embraer also delivered the third KC-390 Millennium to the Portuguese Air Force.
Embraer said its defense highlight of the quarter was the signing of a contract with Panama for the acquisition of four A-29 Super Tucano aircraft.
Finally, Services and Support recorded a backlog of $4.9 billion at the end of the quarter, up a material 40% year-on-year.
