flydubai to equip entire fleet with Starlink in-flight internet from 2026
flydubai has entered into a partnership with SpaceX, the space company founded by tech giant Elon Musk, to implement Starlink in-flight internet across its entire fleet starting from 2026.
The announcement was made on the second day of the Dubai Airshow 2025, and follows a significant order by the Dubai-based carrier for up to 150 Airbus A321neo family aircraft, the first Airbus purchase in its history.
Under the agreement, Starlink will become the inflight connectivity provider for the airline’s fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft, with installation for 100 aircraft to be rolled out in 2026. In a statement, the airline said this will provide connectivity to more than 100 destinations.
“Reliable connectivity has become essential and our partnership with Starlink allows us to meet the evolving expectations of today’s travelers,” said Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai.

Additionally, passengers will be able to enjoy HD streaming and real-time digital services simultaneously.
“We’re excited to team up with flydubai and bring Starlink to its entire fleet and deliver connectivity that’s similar, if not better, than what you experience in your own home,” said Chad Gibbs, Vice President of Starlink Business Operations at SpaceX.
As of late 2025, more than 15 airlines have publicly announced they will deploy Starlink in-flight Wi-Fi on some of their aircraft.
Currently, airlines like Hawaiian Airlines, Alaska Airlines, United, Qatar Airways, Air France, and WestJet provide this service on select flights, while others, including Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), British Airways, Air New Zealand and Emirates, are working on its installation.
