Center Air Pilot Academy Further Innovates Fleet with Major Tecnam Order at AERO 2026
The Danish flight school expands its commitment to sustainable, state-of-the-art training by ordering ten P-Mentor and one P2006T NG aircraft.
FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany – April 24, 2026 – Live from the AERO Friedrichshafen exhibition, Tecnam is thrilled to announce another significant milestone for the European flight training sector. Denmark’s leading professional flight school, Center Air Pilot Academy (CAPA), has officially signed an agreement to acquire ten (10) Tecnam P-Mentor aircraft and one (1) Tecnam P2006T NG.
This new acquisition marks the latest chapter in a highly successful partnership that began in 2022 when CAPA purchased its first Tecnam aircraft. Following an excellent operational experience that proved the reliability and efficiency of the fleet, the academy expanded the relationship in 2024. Today’s major order at AERO 2026 underscores Center Air Pilot Academy’s continuous drive to provide its students with the most advanced and environmentally friendly training platforms available.
By combining the P-Mentor and the P2006T NG, Center Air Pilot Academy establishes a highly cohesive and efficient training fleet.
The P-Mentor is an EASA CS-23 IFR certified two-seat trainer. Equipped with a state-of-the-art Garmin G3X glass cockpit and powered by the highly efficient Rotax 912iSc fuel-injected engine, it offers the lowest fuel consumption and CO2 emissions currently available for IFR training.
The P2006T NG (Next Generation) complements the single-engine syllabus by providing the most cost-efficient twin-engine platform on the market. With its spacious cabin, advanced avionics, and exceptional multi-engine training capabilities, it prepares cadets for the complexities of commercial aviation while maintaining the operator’s commitment to sustainability and low operating costs.
“By adding ten P-Mentors and another P2006T NG to our fleet, we are ensuring our students train on the most technologically advanced and environmentally friendly aircraft available,” said Simon Frost, Co-Owner and CTKI of Center Air Pilot Academy. “The synergy between the P-Mentor and the P2006T NG creates a seamless, modern training environment that perfectly mirrors the commercial airliner flight decks our cadets will soon enter. Tecnam continues to be a trusted partner in our mission to deliver world-class training in Scandinavia.”
Walter Da Costa, Tecnam’s Chief Sales Officer, added: “We are incredibly proud that Center Air Pilot Academy has chosen to further innovate its fleet with this major order at AERO 2026. The fact that this partnership began in 2022, grew in 2024, and has now resulted in this massive fleet expansion is the greatest testament to the quality and reliability of our aircraft. We are honored to be the trusted partner for CAPA’s sustainable and operational growth.”
