Tecnam Announces Vectored Approach Flight Academy’s Transition to an All-New Tecnam Fleet
OSHKOSH, WI — July 22, 2026 Costruzioni Aeronautiche TECNAM is proud to announce that Vectored Approach Flight Academy, a premier US-based flight training organization established in 2019, is transitioning to an all-new Tecnam fleet. Announced during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, the academy has purchased two (2) Tecnam aircraft, with a third currently on order, to modernize its training operations.
Vectored Approach prides itself on delivering premier quality, offering a boutique experience for flight training. The Tecnam P-Mentor and P2010 deliver the highest quality platforms, specifically tailored and dedicated to serving the demanding needs of modern flight training operations.
The new fleet will prominently feature the Tecnam P-Mentor and the P2010 MkIII 180hp which will serve as the workhorses of the Vectored Approach Flight Academy.
The P-Mentor is an EASA-FAA CS-23 IFR certified two-seat trainer. Equipped with a state-of-the-art Garmin G3X glass cockpit and powered by the highly efficient Rotax 912iSc fuel-injected engine, it offers the lowest fuel consumption and CO2 emissions currently available for IFR training.
The P2010 MkIII 180hp IFR is a modern, single-engine four-seater aircraft that combines advanced Garmin G1000 NXi avionics with exceptional handling, making it ideal for IFR pilot training. The MkIII version has a Flight Management System (FMS) keyboard which brings advanced flight planning and navigation capabilities directly to the pilot’s fingertips.
Furthermore, this fleet maximizes operational efficiency while keeping a firm eye on the future. The low fuel burn and alternative fuel capabilities of the Rotax 912iSc3 engines provide a sustainable path forward, future-proofing the academy’s operations as the FAA transitions away from leaded Avgas by 2030.
