OSHKOSH, WISCONSIN – July 23, 2026 – Live from EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, Tecnam is proud to announce that Tropic Air Charters has signed an agreement for the acquisition of two (2) new P2012 Traveller aircraft. The South Florida-based operator will utilize the new twin-engine aircraft to significantly upgrade its high-end charter and VIP flight services connecting South Florida and the Bahamas.
Based at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE), right in the heart of South Florida’s bustling aviation hub, Tropic Air Charters has built a strong reputation for reliable island connectivity. With this acquisition, the company is officially phasing out its legacy Britten-Norman fleet, transitioning to the modern, passenger-centric P2012 Traveller.
The transition marks a major step forward for Tropic Air’s customer experience. The P2012 Traveller offers high-end charter passengers a spacious, air-conditioned cabin, premium interiors, USB ports, and expansive windows for breathtaking views of the Bahamian waters.
