Taiwan getting camouflage equipment from Saab and SSZ Equipment
The latest procurement documents released by the Taiwanese government revealed that the military has purchased camouflage equipment from Sweden’s Saab and Swiss company SSZ Equipment AG last year.
Twenty-seven sets of camouflage equipment from Saab will go to the Republic of China Military Police while the Air Force Headquarters and 5th Tactical Fighter Wing will be using camouflage netting supplied by Hoyu Textile company which has license the technology from SSZ Equipment AG.
Hoyu Textile won the bid at $18,000. The company claimed that by producing it locally, it was able to reduce the production costs.
These netting have reduced infrared and radar signature capabilities.
