Some of the Multi-Purpose Attack Craft (MPAC) in service with the Philippine Navy already has the shorter-range Spike-ER missile.
The new craft will replace the patrol killer medium (PKM) boats that came from South Korea in 1995. Four Shaldags will be built in Israel while the rest will be assembled locally at PN Cavite Naval Yard.
