Hot on the tail of Cathay Pacific’s recently launched new Business Class suite Aria, the airline has unveiled the cabin design that Premium Economy customers can expect to use in the future.
Revealed at an exclusive Customer Experience Showcase in Hong Kong, the new Premium Economy cabins will be progressively introduced from 2024 onwards as part of Cathay Pacific’s Boeing 777-300ER retrofit.
The new seats include a leather headrest and customized cushions, privacy wings with a reading light, a 15.6-inch 4K ultra-high-definition screen with on demand service and Bluetooth audio streaming, as well as clever storage solutions for personal devices.
“We always put our customers at the center of everything we do. We listen to our customers and ensure that we understand what is important to them. These valuable insights continuously motivate us to go above and beyond to elevate our customers’ journeys and ensure that their experience with Cathay is truly unforgettable whenever they fly, shop, spend or dine with us,” General Manager Customer Experience and Design Vivian Lo said.
Premium Economy passengers flying on Cathay’s 777-300ER will also have exclusive access to their own set of lavatories, complete with touch-free features to ensure minimal contact.
At the industry event, Cathay also introduced a new, exclusive selection of fine Chinese wines that are available to First and Business class customers on long-haul routes until May 2024.
“Whether it’s refreshing the inflight experience with new cabin products, creating memorable wining and dining experiences, enhancing our award-winning inflight entertainment experience, and much more, our investments in augmenting the customer experience are all part of our continuous efforts to become one of the world’s greatest service brands – and, from there, the best premium airline.” Lo added.
