Lufthansa welcomes new A350, will be first jet to fly out with Allegris cabin
The German flag-carrier Lufthansa has welcomed the arrival of a very special brand-new Airbus A350-941 at Munich International Airport (MUC).
The Airbus A350-900, which arrived from Toulouse on April 13, 2024, will be the first Lufthansa aircraft to fly out into the world with the new Allegris cabin.
Allegris is Lufthansa’s new long-haul cabin product that will see First, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy classes of travel all revamped as part of a €2.5B investment program.
The new A350 arrived from the Airbus factory and was welcomed in Munich by the Lufthansa CEO Jens Ritter
“D-AIXT is the first aircraft that will fly out into the world with the new Allegris cabin, a cabin featuring new products in all classes,” the airline wrote on X (formally known as Twitter).
While we wait for LH9851 to touch down at @MUC_Airport, here is a special fact about today’s ferry flight: this flight is operated with 17 % Sustainable Aviation Fuel! 🌱✈️#SAF #SustainableAviationFuel #WeAreLufthansa #A350 pic.twitter.com/1RoWe3RdE3

The flight which took off from Toulouse Blagnac Airport (TLS) at 14:00 local time was also flown with 17% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
In total, 27,000 new seats will be fitted across the airline’s Boeing 747-8, Boeing 787, A350-900 aircraft, and once they join the Lufthansa fleet, the Boeing 777-9.
The first-class Allegris suites, called “Suite Plus”, have been designed to offer a secluded space with (almost) total privacy.
The Allegris cabin will also have a revamped economy class product, with Recaro CL3810 seats, an iteration of the CL3710 currently seen on Lufthansa’s B787 aircraft.
