Croatia Airlines launches new livery and logo as first Airbus A220 arrival nears
Croatia Airlines has launched a new aircraft livery and company logo that will feature on its fleet of Airbus A220s that are due to begin arriving from July 2024.
The new logo, revealed at a launch ceremony on June 18, 2024, draws its inspiration from the Croatia Airlines plane tail by adopting the same colors, shapes and positional style.
Croatia Airlines is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year and is embarking on the “biggest project in the history of the company”.
The arrival of the first Airbus A220 not only marks the start of Croatia Airlines’ fleet renewal but also the “beginning of a new business development cycle” for the national flag carrier.
Croatia Airlines“The rebranding of Croatia’s flag carrier will increase the company’s visibility and recognition. It also highlights the importance of Croatia’s national identity and the role that Croatia Airlines has in the state of Croatia, while Croatia Airlines remains, according to renowned experts, one of the best brands in world aviation,” said Jasmin Bajić, President of the Management Board and CEO of Croatia Airlines.
The colors used in Croatia Airlines branding are strongly tied to Croatia’s national flag with red and dark blue used as primary colors while the secondary colors underscore the carrier’s south European roots.
“The new logo, the redesign of our aircraft, and a revamped color scheme confirm the importance of the Croatian national identity, and the role that Croatia Airlines has in the state of Croatia. The new design ensures enhanced brand visibility and recognition, while the tail of the aircraft is now aligned with the logo itself,” Ivana Ivanković, Corporate Designer at Croatia Airlines, said.
Croatia AirlinesCroatia Airlines’ fleet will total 15 new A220 aircraft once all the jets are delivered. Delivery of the second aircraft is expected by the end of 2024, the next six are expected to be delivered in 2025, four in 2026, and three aircraft in 2027.
The new aircraft join Croatia Airlines through lease agreements signed with Griffin Global Asset Management, Air Lease Corporation and Azorra.
