The delivery process of the L-39NG began with the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) in the Czech Republic, where the aircraft were inspected at the factory level. After being transported to Vietnam, the final step, the SAT, was conducted on-site, supervised by a joint team of specialists from Aero and Omnipol. The aircraft were flight-tested by a factory pilot to ensure proper operation.
In addition to the aircraft, the Vietnamese Air Force received a training package that includes a simulation system and technical manuals for pilots and mechanics. The manuals cover detailed maintenance and flight procedures, providing comprehensive technical support.
The production of the L-39NG involves around 400 suppliers, with 65% based in the Czech Republic. Each aircraft requires the assembly of 14,000 parts, 17,500 rivets, and 31,000 work hours.
It is worth noting that the L-39NG is equipped with a Williams International FJ44-4M engine, which offers better fuel efficiency and lower operating costs compared to previous models. With a maximum speed of 775 km/h and a range of over 1,900 km, the aircraft is capable of performing a variety of missions, from advanced training to light tactical operations.
The aircraft also features a modern avionics system, including a fully digital cockpit compatible with both Western and Eastern standards. It is equipped with multifunction displays, an advanced flight management system, and the ability to integrate various weapon systems, making it adaptable to different light combat and reconnaissance missions. These technical features allow the L-39NG to effectively train future fighter pilots while providing operational versatility.
