Emirates opens a new lounge at London Stansted Airport
On September 19, 2024, Emirates presented its brand-new lounge at London Stansted Airport (STN).
The Dubai-based airline has invested £4 million in the new 900 square meter facility, which will have the capacity to host 125 people at any one time.
With this new addition, Emirates now boasts 40 of its own lounges at airports around the world. Six of them are in the UK, one at each of the London airports it serves (Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted), plus Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester.
Emirates’ Stansted lounge is located airside at the Satellite 1 area of the airport, accessed through an automated people mover and adjacent to the departure gates.
Until now, the other lounge available at Stansted Airport was the Escape Lounge, which is not affiliated to a particular airline. With the inauguration of this new facility, Emirates First and Business Class passengers, plus certain Emirates Skywards members, will be able to enjoy a dedicated space prior to their flights.
The lounge will offer a selection of local produce from the English countryside, supplied by Sussex-based Full Circles Farms, as well as the usual selection of wines and other drinks. The new lounge is also fitted with showers.
At present, Emirates operates a twice-daily frequency between Dubai International (DXB) and London Stansted (STN). Both flights are operated by Boeing 777-300 aircraft. The post Emirates opens a new lounge at London Stansted Airport appeared first on AeroTime.
