Embraer aircraft deliveries increase by 33% with private jets leading the charge
Embraer has reported strong increases in aircraft deliveries in its latest quarter results, with its Executive Jets segment performing particularly well.
On October 18, 2024, the Brazilian planemaker announced that its overall aircraft deliveries had risen by 33% year on year, or by 24% when compared to the same quarterly period in 2023.
Embraer said that 57 aircraft were delivered in the third quarter of 2024, comprising 16 commercial planes and 41 private jets.
Private jet deliveries increased over 45% year on year and more than 50% when comparing the third quarter this year with 2023.
The Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 represented close to half of the segment deliveries (19 jets), while the Phenom 300 was once again the top performer (18 jets) during the quarter.
Additionally, Embraer’s Defense and Security division delivered two C-390 Millennium aircraft during the quarter. Hungary received its first ever C-390 Millennium and Brazil its seventh.
The company-wide backlog reached $22.7 billion in the third quarter, with Defense and Security registering the biggest increase in backlog of $1.5 billion.

Virgin Australia placed a firm order for eight E190-E2 to bring the commercial aircraft segment’s backlog to $11.1 billion in the third quarter.
