Philippine Airlines to operate out of JFK’s New Terminal One by 2026
Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced it will move its New York John F Kennedy Airport (JFK) operations to the New Terminal One by 2026.
According to the Philippine flag carrier, once the move has been completed, the travel experience for its customers flying between Manila International Airport (MNL) and JFK Airport will be elevated.
Philippine Airlines is currently the only airline that flies directly between the Philippines and the US East Coast, offering thrice-weekly flights between JFK Airport and Manila utilizing the Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
“This partnership with the JFK New Terminal One highlights an important innovation for Philippine Airlines,” PAL President and Chief Operating Officer Capt. Stanley K. Ng said in a statement. “This alliance allows us to enhance our service and elevate the travel experience for our passengers traveling between Manila and New York, as well as nearby cities in New Jersey and Connecticut, and throughout the U.S. East Coast and Midwest.”
“We stay committed to creating a seamless and memorable journey, reflecting our dedication to excellence in every flight,” Ng added.
“We are delighted to welcome Philippine Airlines to our growing family of airlines at the New Terminal One,” The New Terminal One at JFK Chief Executive Officer Jennifer Aument said.
“Our teams share a strong commitment to customer experience, and we look forward to working together to elevate the curb-to-gate experience for Philippine Airlines customers flying to and from New York,” Augment further stated.
Scheduled to open in phases from 2026, the New Terminal One will be the largest terminal at JFK Airport when complete, offering 2.6 million square feet of space over a footprint that will include the existing Terminal 1 and the former Terminals 2 and 3.
Philippine Airlines is the first Southeast Asian carrier to commit to moving its operations to the New Terminal One.
