Deutsche Aircraft appoints Nico Neumann as co-CEO

Deutsche Aircraft has announced the appointment of Nico Neumann as co-CEO as the company advances its flagship D328eco turboprop program.

Neumann will join incumbent CEO Dave Jackson at the helm starting January 1, 2025, before assuming full operational leadership by mid-year. The strategic reshuffle aligns with Deutsche Aircraft’s industrialization efforts ahead of the D328eco’s anticipated debut in 2027.

Neumann, currently Chief Operating Officer, brings nearly two decades of experience within the organization and its subsidiary, 328 Support Services. His career includes leading key initiatives such as establishing the aircraft’s Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Leipzig and managing government partnerships for the program.

With a background as a B2-certified engineer, Neumann has climbed the ranks through various technical and leadership roles, including overseeing production, maintenance, and complex modifications for the Dornier 328 fleet.

As part of the leadership restructuring, Olaf Lawrenz, an industry veteran with experience at Airbus and Asco Industries, will become Chief Operating Officer. Lawrenz will oversee supply chain operations, final assembly lines, and delivery centers, bolstering Deutsche Aircraft’s industrial strategy.

The D328eco, a next-generation turboprop designed for improved efficiency and sustainability, is on track for its first flight in late 2025.
