Deliveries of GE-F404 Starting In March; HAL Aims For 20 Jets Per Year

Deliveries of GE F404 engines are set to begin in March 2025, with HAL aiming for a production rate of 20 jets per year, potentially increasing to 30. The delivery of 99 GE-404 engines has been delayed by two years. The integration of advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and Israeli radars on the MK-1A has been completed, and work is underway to soon test-fire Astra Beyond Visual Range (BVR)
