Honeywell signs 5-year APU maintenance deal for Vietjet Air’s A330 fleet

Honeywell and Vietjet Air have entered an exclusive five-year contract for the maintenance of Honeywell’s 331-350 Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) on Vietjet’s fleet of Airbus A330 aircraft.

The deal was announced on June 18, 2025 at the Paris Air Show 2025 and covers 30 widebody aircraft.

Honeywell said that the agreement builds on its existing maintenance support for Vietjet’s A330 fleet and further positions Honeywell as the aftermarket partner of choice for one of Asia’s fastest-growing low-cost carriers. 

“Honeywell is proud to support Vietjet’s continued growth with reliable, high-performance APU solutions,” said Dave Marinick, President, Engines and Power Systems, Honeywell Aerospace Technologies. 

“Our agreement reflects a shared commitment to both operational excellence and long-term success,” Marinick said.

Vietjet is continuing its rapid fleet expansion ­with a major order announcement for 100 single-aisle A321neo aircraft, with the potential to add another 50 in the future. This has so far been the largest order made at Paris Air Show 2025. On top of that, the Vietnamese low-cost carrier also has orders for 20 additional A330neo aircraft and 200 Boeing 737 Max aircraft.
