BermudAir launches new flights to New York from Bermuda and Anguilla
BermudAir, the privately owned airline based at LF Wade International Airport (BDA) in Bermuda, has announced the commencement of new services linking the island with Newark-Liberty International Airport (EWR) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA) in New York. Both new services are scheduled to begin operations the week of October 26, 2025.
Flights between Bermuda and Newark will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays, with departures from Bermuda at 08:00 local time, arriving at Newark at 09:30. The return flights will depart Newark at 11:00, arriving back in Bermuda at 14:15. Services to LaGuardia will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Additionally, from December 18, 2025, travellers departing from Newark will also be able to fly to Anguilla’s Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (AXA), with all flights on this route branded as Anguilla and operated by Bermudair. The Newark to Anguilla flights will run twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays, complementing BermudAir’s previously announced Anguilla connections from Boston and Baltimore airports.

All flights will be operated on BermudAir’s comfortable Embraer E175 and E190 regional jet fleet. The carrier currently operates two 88-seat E175-200s plus two 96-seat E190s. The average age of the fleet is 14.5 years. According to ch-aviation, the airline flies 14 routes serving 14 destinations across four countries. Launched in 2023, the airline initially operated as an all-business class airline but soon changed to a dual-class strategy incorporating an economy class product.
Speaking about the switch at the time, Adam Scott said, “After nearly 170 successful flights, it’s clear that there is strong demand for direct, short-haul and premium flights between Bermuda and the East Coast. We’ve had overwhelmingly positive feedback from our guests about their experience onboard BermudAir, but guests also desire more options and flexibility. BermudAir is uniquely positioned to fill that need with our dual-class cabin.”
