Air Astana to launch Airbus A321LR service from Almaty to Frankfurt by June 2025
Air Astana announced that it will launch flight services between Almaty International Airport (ALA) and Frankfurt Airport (FRA) starting June 1, 2025.
Tickets are already available for bookings for the thrice-weekly flights on the carrier’s fleet of A321LR.
The new service will complement existing flights to Frankfurt from Kazakhstan’s Astana International Airport (NZQ) and Manshuk Mametova International Airport (URA) in Uralsk, western Kazakhstan. Air Astana first launched direct flights to Germany in 2003.
The new flights have a planned schedule of:
Outbound: Departing Almaty at 01:30 local time, arriving Frankfurt at 06:55 local time
Inbound: Departing Frankfurt at 08:30 local time, arriving Almaty at 18:55 local time
The carrier said the minimum fare for a round-trip economy class ticket starts at US$550.
Air Astana recently launched the longest non-stop flight known for the A321LR, Almaty (ALA) to London Heathrow (LHR) with a 3,500-mile (5,632-kilometer) route.
In February 2024, Air Astana received the first of seven A321LR aircraft it is to take from leasing firm Aercap in order to replace its Boeing 757 fleet.
