Air Canada to launch non-stop service between Vancouver and Manila, Philippines
Air Canada is set to fly to the Philippines for the first time, announcing the launch of non-stop flights between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL).
The four-weekly flights are set to begin in the spring season of 2025, with the first flight scheduled to depart on April 2, 2025.
Flights will be operated with the carrier’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft featuring three cabins of service: Signature Class with lie-flat seats, Premium Economy and Economy Class.
The Philippines will be Air Canada’s 12th route in its transpacific network from Vancouver, which includes Japan, South Korea, People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong SAR, Thailand, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.
According to a 2021 Canadian Census of Population, 757,410 people reported that they were born in the Philippines and had immigrated to Canada. In 2023, the Philippine Department of Tourism reported that Canada ranked fifth in the top international tourist arrivals in the country, with a number of 50,555 arrivals for the year.
