Meeting Air Legend
The renowned Air Legend air show will be held on the weekend of September 14 and 15 this year, at Melun-Villaroche aerodrome, located 40 km south of Paris.
It’s most likely THE air show you’ll not want to miss in the Paris region this September. And for good reason: once again this year, Air Legend will be living up to its international reputation, with a top-notch line-up of events—as usual, we might be tempted to say.
On the ground, visitors will be able to enjoy 1944-themed concerts (in honor of the D-Day anniversary), admire vintage vehicles and re-enactments, browse through a (large) village of exhibitors and take in a fleet of aircraft including the Cessna 195, the Fouga Magister CM. 170, and the Boeing Stearman Kaydet. The air show’s ground-based program also includes conferences, the opportunity to meet the crews, first flights, and more.
And in the sky, you’ll be treated to an unparalleled parade! On the “warbird” front, the Corsair, Douglas Skyraider, Lockheed P-38 and Spitfire are all slated to appear. Among military aircraft currently in service, the Mustang X-Ray and Rafale Normandie-Niemen (static display) will both be joining the event. As far as bombers are concerned, the Antonov-2 and DC-3 have been announced. Liaison aircraft, in the form of the German MS505 Criquet and the FI 156 Storch, have also been invited to this celebration of aviation, which attracts some 60,000 visitors or more every year. Will you be one of them?
