airBaltic expands summer 2026 network with 6 new routes, 30 flight increases
Latvian carrier airBaltic is set to introduce six new routes, resume three destinations, and increase frequencies on nearly 30 existing routes from its bases across all three Baltic States.
In a statement released on September 2, 2025, the airline said the expansion will take place during the upcoming summer season, running from late March to late October 2026.
“The additions and increases we are making for summer 2026 reflect our long-term commitment to strengthening connectivity of Latvia and overall Baltic States with the rest of the world,” said Thomas Ramdahl, CCO at airBaltic.

According to Simonas Bartkus, CEO of Lithuanian Airports, this marks the first network carrier service from Kaunas.
“Our Kaunas Airport terminal expansion is finalizing. Over the next two months, we will open new gate areas, a new duty-free store, and more. But the most important thing is that the infrastructure expansion is very much welcome by the airlines,” Bartkus said in a post on LinkedIn.
From its base in Tallinn, Estonia, the airline will expand connectivity with new flights to Athens, Greece; Hamburg, Germany; and Vienna, Austria.
During the same period, airBaltic plans to restart three routes from Riga, including flights to Aberdeen, United Kingdom; Belgrade, Serbia; and Yerevan, Armenia.
Additionally, the carrier will increase frequencies on almost 30 existing routes: 20 from Riga, two from Tallinn, six from Vilnius, and one from Tampere, Finland. Among the destinations to benefit from more services are Istanbul, Larnaka, Malaga, Malta, Milan, Nice, Palma de Mallorca, and Tbilisi.
For summer 2026, airBaltic expects to operate nearly 110 routes from all its bases, representing about a 7% increase compared to the 2025 summer season. The post airBaltic expands summer 2026 network with 6 new routes, 30 flight increases appeared first on AeroTime.
