All Nippon Airways selects RECARO to equip Dreamliner fleet
All Nippon Airways (ANA) has selected RECARO’s R4 Premium Class and R3 Economy Class seats to equip the next iteration of the airline’s long-haul cabins.
The announcement was made during the Aircraft Interiors Expo, which takes place in Hamburg, Germany, April 8-10, 2025.
RECAROThe Japanese carrier will start to roll out its new seats in the 2026 fiscal year. It plans to do so on its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet, which is usually deployed on international routes.
With the new seats, ANA will be able to expand the seat pitch to 40 inches in the case of the R4 Premium Class, and 33 to 34 inches for the R3 Economy Class.
What’s more, the lightweight design of these two seat models will also contribute to lower total weight onboard, with the related savings in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Both seats are also fitted with USB-C charging ports and Bluetooth connectivity, to facilitate wireless connectivity between the aircraft’s inflight entertainment systems and the passenger’s own personal electronic devices.
