Alton Aviation names former Gulf Air Group CEO Jeffrey Goh as Managing Director
Alton Aviation Consultancy has appointed Jeffrey Goh as Managing Director in its Singapore office. Goh brings more than 30 years of experience in international aviation, spanning airline leadership, alliance strategy, commercial transformation, and industry policy.
Before joining Alton, Goh served as Group Chief Executive Officer at Gulf Air Group, where he led a restructuring of the airline’s network and an overhaul of its customer experience. Prior to that, he was Chief Executive Officer at Star Alliance, the world’s largest airline alliance, where he worked directly with member airline CEOs on network strategy, alliance development, customer experience, and operational collaboration during a period of strategic growth and digital transformation.
Earlier in his career, Goh held senior leadership roles at the International Air Transport Association (IATA), representing airline interests and leading industry engagement on policy, regulation, sustainability, and aviation development.
Goh’s expertise meets growing demand for airline advisory
Adam Cowburn, Managing Director at Alton Aviation Consultancy, said Goh’s appointment strengthens the firm’s ability to serve airline clients worldwide.
“His deep experience and knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing the sector will be hugely beneficial to clients navigating an increasingly competitive market,” Cowburn said.
Goh said he was drawn to Alton’s reputation for combining aviation and aerospace expertise with practical, results-oriented advisory work.
“I’m pleased to be part of the firm at a time of significant change for airlines globally and look forward to providing clients with strategic counsel, while working alongside a fantastic team of advisors,” he said.
Expanding senior leadership amid growing airline advisory demand
The hire comes as Alton continues to expand its senior team to meet growing demand from airline clients operating in what the firm describes as an increasingly complex environment. Adding someone with Goh’s background in running an airline group, leading a global alliance, and shaping industry policy at IATA gives the consultancy a broader range of firsthand operational experience to draw on as it advises carriers pursuing long-term growth.
