American, Frontier aircraft clip wings on tarmac at Boston Logan Airport: video
Two aircraft operated by American Airlines and Frontier Airlines clipped wings while on the tarmac at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS).
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported that the collision took place around 12:00 local time on November 25, 2024, in an area not under air traffic control.
While being towed, an American Airlines Boeing 777 aircraft struck the wingtip of a Frontier Airlines Airbus A321 that was parked at the gate. The American Airlines flight, N772AN, arrived in Boston from London-Heathrow Airport (LHR), according to FlightAware data.
There were no reported injuries reported, and all passengers safely deplaned the aircraft shortly after the collision.
Video footage shared on X on November 25, 2024, clearly shows the moment the two aircraft made contact with each other. Additionally, the footage reveals what looks like a hole in the wing of the American Airlines aircraft.

A spokesperson for Frontier Airlines said on the day of the incident that there were 200 passengers on board the aircraft, while an American Airlines spokesperson said that “the aircraft has been removed from service for inspection”.
The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport), the operator of BOS Airport, said that the jets are being checked for damage, adding that “most likely those planes will not fly” soon.
On November 25, 2024, the FAA said it is investigating the incident.
