Avation orders 10 ATR 72-600s for delivery between 2025 and 2028
Avation, a Singapore-based aircraft leasing company, has placed an order for 10 ATR 72-600 aircraft.
The agreement includes delivery scheduled between 2025 and 2028. Since its first order with the Franco-Italian regional aircraft manufacturer, Avation has received 36 ATR 72s.
“Over the years, we have witnessed the exceptional performance of ATR aircraft, and enjoyed both strong airline demand and secondary market value retention,” Jeff Chatfield, Executive Chairman of Avation. “Avation believes that over the next 10 years, low CO2, SAF compatible, latest technology aircraft such as the ATR 72, and potentially its EVO successor, will be an essential component for efficient travel worldwide.”
On May 18, 2022, ATR unveiled plans for a new generation of regional aircraft, the ATR EVO. The aircraft is planned to feature hybrid engines, lighter bio-sourced materials, and innovative technologies. The manufacturer expects it to enter service by 2030.
“We are proud to contribute to the success and growth of Avation’s portfolio, while fulfilling our vision of accelerating sustainable connections by ensuring communities worldwide get a quick, responsible and reliable access to essential services,” Nathalie Tarnaud Laude, Chief Executive Officer of ATR, commented.
Avation is a Singapore-based company that leases commercial passenger aircraft. Its fleet, which includes widebody, narrowbody jet, and turboprop aircraft, is currently fully leased and in active use by 16 commercial airlines across 14 countries.
