Avelo Airlines announces five new routes from Connecticut
Avelo Airlines has announced plans to add five new nonstop routes from Connecticut state.
In a press release published on December 9, 2024, the carrier said it will launch four new nonstop routes from Southern Connecticut’s Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) and a third international destination from Hartford’s Bradley International Airport (BDL).
“We love Connecticut and are excited to continue expanding our presence here with these five new exclusive destinations,” said Andrew Levy, Avelo Airlines Founder and CEO. “With 39 route choices, Avelo offers Connecticut travelers more choice, affordability and convenience.”
Starting in February 2025, Avelo will add nonstop service from HVN Airport to Jacksonville, Florida (JAX), Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas (DFW), Detroit, Michigan (DTW), and Portland, Maine (PWM).
Eight aircraft will be assigned solely for HVN flights, which includes one Boeing 737 based at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU).
Avelo also announced that Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ) will become the airline’s third international destination from BDL Airport. The service begins February 21, 2025, and will be operated two times a week with a Boeing 737 aircraft.
The airline currently serves Cancun, Mexico (CUN) and Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ) from BDL Airport.
With these five new destinations added, the carrier will now operate 39 routes from Connecticut – 31 from HVN Airport and eight from BDL Airport. The post Avelo Airlines announces five new routes from Connecticut appeared first on AeroTime.
