Axiom Flight Services Expands Southern California Training Fleet with the Tecnam P-Mentor
OSHKOSH, WISCONSIN – July 24, 2026 – Tecnam is proud to announce today at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh that Axiom Flight Services, a rapidly growing flight training provider in Southern California, has selected the Tecnam P-Mentor to expand its modern training fleet.
The addition of the P-Mentor represents a significant milestone in Axiom Flight Services’ continued growth. As student enrollment expands, the academy remains deeply committed to investing in technologically advanced aircraft that support a safe, efficient, and consistent training experience.
The new P-Mentor joins Axiom’s recently acquired Tecnam P2006T MkII, providing the school with a comprehensive, modern fleet that supports every stage of a pilot’s journey. Students beginning their flight training will benefit from the P-Mentor as a state-of-the-art, purpose-built primary trainer, while those advancing to commercial and multi-engine ratings can continue their progression seamlessly in the twin-engine P2006T MkII.
“Our goal has never been to build the largest fleet—it’s to build the right fleet,” stated David Stringfellow of Axiom Flight Services. “Every aircraft we add is selected because it strengthens our training programs, improves aircraft availability, and enhances the overall experience for our students and instructors.”
As Axiom continues to expand its footprint throughout Southern California, the organization is heavily focused on creating clear, efficient pathways for aspiring professional pilots. Expanding their fleet with Tecnam aircraft allows the school to serve more students, drastically reduce scheduling bottlenecks, and continue developing rigorous programs that prepare pilots for successful careers in the aviation industry.
Built on the core principles of Excellence, Integrity, and Leadership, Axiom credits its successful expansion to strategic partnerships with organizations that share its vision. This strategic partnership and fleet expansion were proudly facilitated by Cutter Aviation, the authorized Tecnam dealer for California and Arizona.
“A Tecnam fleet built by a team with shared values has been critical to our current and future success,” Stringfellow continued. “We are empowered to provide great instruction to students across Southern California thanks to the incredible support of our dealer, Cutter Aviation, and the dedicated support staff at Tecnam Italy.”
Walter da Costa, Chief Sales Officer at Tecnam, echoed this sentiment from the Oshkosh booth: “We are incredibly proud to support Axiom Flight Services as they elevate the standard of flight training in Southern California. By pairing the P-Mentor with the P2006T MkII, Axiom is providing its students with the ultimate modern training environment. Their dedication to safety, efficiency, and student success perfectly aligns with Tecnam’s mission, and we look forward to supporting their continued growth alongside our excellent partners at Cutter Aviation.”
