Bell 407 helicopter crashes in Uttarakhand Northern India killing all 7 onboard
Seven people have been killed after a Bell 407 helicopter crashed in the Northern Indian state of Uttarakhan.
The tragedy occurred in the early morning of June 15, 2025. The helicopter, which belonged to aircraft charter company Aryan Aviation, had been flying along a popular Hindu pilgrimage route in the Himalayan mountains and was en route to Guptkashi, a religious site in Uttarakhand, India.
Local reports indicate that the helicopter took off from Kedarnath helipad at around 05:20 in the morning. Authorities later lost signal of the Bell 407 and were unable to locate the chopper.
The wreckage of the helicopter, carrying seven people, including a two year-old child, was later found between the areas of Gaurikund and Trijuginarayan in Kedarghati.
