Boeing falls further behind Airbus in July 2025 deliveries as backlog tops 5,968
Boeing is lagging yet further behind its European competitor Airbus in terms of deliveries, as the US manufacturer handed over 48 aircraft in July 2025 while Airbus managed a total of 67 during the same period.
According to Boeing’s orders and deliveries report, the 48 aircraft dispatched in July 2025 included 37 737 MAX, 8 787-8s, 787-9s and 787-10s, plus two 777Fs and one 767-300F.
In comparison, Airbus delivered 67 jets to 41 customers in July 2025. This included 54 jets from the A320neo family, five A220s, two A330s, and six A350s.

The European manufacturer’s July 2025 figures show a slight increase from the 63 aircraft delivered in June 2025. Airbus still expects to meet its target of delivering 820 jets by the end of 2025.
Year-to-date (through July 2025), Boeing has delivered a total of 328 aircraft, comprising 246 of the 737 model, 45 of the 787, 22 of the 777 and 15 of the 767. When it comes to Airbus’ overall deliveries, the manufacturer has completed 373 to 72 customers in 2025 so far.
While Airbus has kept a faster delivery rate in 2025, the manufacturer’s output has been affected by persistent engine supply problems. Currently, Airbus has around 60 commercial aircraft waiting for engine installation.
In July 2025, Boeing received 31 orders in total, which included 30 for the 737 MAX and one for the 787-8 jet. Boeing’s orders in July 2025 show a significant drop from June 2025, when the company reported 116 new aircraft orders.
In contrast, Airbus recorded seven gross orders in July 2025, compared to 203 orders in June 2025.
