Boeing logs 116 orders in June 2025 while rival Airbus secures 203
Boeing received 116 new aircraft orders in June 2025, significantly less than its European rival Airbus, which secured 203 orders during the same period – many of which were announced during the Paris Air Show.
These new orders represent a notable decrease of 187 aircraft compared to May 2025, when Boeing recorded 303 new orders, marking the sixth-best month in the company’s history for orders.
According to Boeing’s orders and deliveries report, the 116 aircraft ordered in June 2025 included 54 737 MAX, 32 787-10s, and 30 787–9s. The company has a backlog of 6,590 unfilled orders.
Additionally, Boeing’s overall production has declined following the tragic Air India crash in western India on June 12, 2025. The crash killed all but one of the 242 passengers on board the aircraft and 19 people on the ground. Additionally, at least 60 people were injured on the ground.
Meanwhile, Airbus had a successful June 2025, securing 87 new aircraft orders, many of which were announced at Paris Air Show 2025. In contrast, the manufacturer had no new orders in May 2025, holding back new order announcements so they could be made during the event.
So far in 2025, Boeing has reported a total of 668 new orders, which include 343 737s, 242 787s, and 83 777s. In comparison, Airbus has a total of 25,023 orders for the year, with 20,226 of those being single-aisle aircraft.
Regarding deliveries, Boeing delivered 60 new aircraft in June 2025, just three fewer than Airbus, which delivered 63 new aircraft to 35 customers during the same period. Boeing deliveries mainly consisted of 737 MAX models, with a few single orders for aircraft like the 777F, 787-10, 787-9, and 767-2C.
These deliveries represent an increase for both companies compared to May 2025, when Boeing delivered 45 aircraft and Airbus delivered 51 aircraft to 32 customers.
So far this year, Boeing has delivered a total of 280 aircraft, which includes 209 737s, 37 787s, 20 777s, and 14 767s. When it comes to Airbus’ overall deliveries, the manufacturer has so far completed 306 deliveries to 65 customers in 2025.The post Boeing logs 116 orders in June 2025 while rival Airbus secures 203 appeared first on AeroTime.
