Bombardier names Comlux as first customer for its new Global 8000 business jet
Bombardier has officially announced that Swiss-based charter airline Comlux will be the first to purchase the manufacturer’s Global 8000 business jet.
The announcement was made on October 13, 2025, at the 2025 NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), currently taking place in Las Vegas, Untied States.
According to the manufacturer, Comlux renowned for its expertise in long-range operations with aircraft like the Bombardier Global 6000 and Global 6500, is “strategically enhancing its charter offering with Bombardier’s flagship jet”.
Comlux Aviation CEO Andrea Zanetto said that the delivery of this aircraft will mark the beginning of an “exciting new chapter” as the company works to attract more clients for managing the Global 7500 and Global 8000 aircraft.
“The Bombardier Global 8000 aircraft integrates perfectly into our long-range fleet, in between our wide-body fleet and our Global 6500 fleet,” Zanetto added. “We have built our reputation on delivering premium global travel solutions and this aircraft allows us to offer ultra-long-range.”
Global 8000 breaks new speed record
According to Bombardier’s official website, the Global 8000 is the “world’s fastest civilian aircraft since Concorde”.
In a separate statement, published on October 13, 2025, the manufacturer said that the aircraft “got faster with a new top speed of Mach 0.95”, which is “the highest speed in civil aviation and the fastest business jet in history”.
The aircraft has a range of 8,000 nautical miles, which makes it suitable to serve new ultra-long range routes like Dubai to Houston, Singapore to Los Angeles and London to Perth, among many others. The manufacturer added that the aircraft provides “the longest range from even the shortest runways” in any weather conditions.
“The Bombardier Global 8000 jet offers the perfect balance of ultra-long-range performance and refined passenger experience – an ideal fit for Comlux’s discerning clientele,” said Éric Martel, President and CEO of Bombardier. “As our valued business relationship continues to grow, the Global 8000 aircraft will deliver its signature smooth ride to Comlux’s customers around the world.”
