Changi app now gives instant benefits for flight delays over 3 hours
Changi Airport Group (CAG) has introduced FlightSaver Assurance, a new feature on the Changi App that provides travelers with instant benefits if their scheduled departure from Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) is delayed by three hours or more.
The feature is part of an upgraded ‘Save Flight’ suite within the app, which now includes live flight tracking, real-time updates, and expanded destination airport information.
According to Changi Airport Group, the app is the first airport application globally to offer both real-time overseas airport information and an opt-in flight delay compensation program.
How it works
Travelers who opt in to FlightSaver Assurance at least 12 hours before their scheduled departure will receive S$10 (approximately US$7.50) in Changi e-vouchers if their flight is delayed by three hours or more. (Terms and conditions apply – check Changi Airport’s website for full details).
The vouchers are credited instantly to the user’s app account and remain valid for 30 days. They can be used at participating outlets in Changi Airport’s transit areas. The benefit of receiving a voucher is limited to once per calendar month.
FlightSaver Assurance is currently a trial program running through to September 30, 2026. According to Changi Airport Group, the program will be refined during this period with the goal of it becoming a permanent offering.

Real-time flight tracking from takeoff to landing is available not only for travelers but also for family and friends monitoring flight progress. Push notifications can deliver updates on flight status changes, gate assignments, and baggage information directly to users’ mobile devices.
James Fong, Senior Vice President of Enterprise Digital Ecosystem & Business at Changi Airport Group, said that the enhancements reflect the airport’s approach to passenger experience.
