Emirates reveals its most popular booking destinations for summer 2025
Dubai-based Emirates has revealed its list of most popular destinations for the summer 2025 travel peak. Data analyzed from the carrier’s booking engine display that regular favorite locations still feature highly on the list, although there is a trend that is leaning towards “new cultural experiences and off-the-beaten-track locales,” says the airline.
According to the carrier, flight searches for summer 2025 travel have climbed 7% for the inclusive travel period of July 1, 2025, to August 30, 2025, compared to the same period in 2024. The airline states that France is leading the charge in 2025, experiencing a “remarkable 35% increase in outbound travel searches”, followed by Ireland, Canada, and Saudi Arabia. Germany and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are also seeing “strong momentum, highlighting robust travel intent across key markets.”
In 2025, Emirates says it has seen the strongest growth across a small number of key markets, with a few breakout stars having emerged as the top summer destinations for the company. These, according to the airline, are largely concentrated in the Far East, the Indian Ocean, and Europe.

Vietnam has emerged as the airline’s most popular destination for summer 2025, stealing the spotlight with a robust 61% leap in interest and a significant uplift in booking engine demand. Emirates currently flies to three destinations in Vietnam with a total of 25 weekly flights. The airline previously served both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. However, in June 2025, the airline launched services to a third Vietnamese city in the form of Da Nang. The flights to Da Nang operate from Dubai via Bangkok in Thailand with a flight schedule that offers “seamless connections to and from major European cities and key American hubs,” added the airline in a statement.
“Vietnam’s vibrant third metropolis is a gateway to a trio of UNESCO World Heritage treasures and over 3,000km of untouched coastline. For culinary adventurers, Vietnamese cuisine is a story in every bite. From bustling street food markets to hidden local gems, the country’s dining scene promises an unforgettable experience,” comments the carrier.
Close behind Vietnam comes the Indian Ocean island nation of Mauritius. The island saw a 41% year-on-year search for flights on its booking engine, making the destination the second most in-demand destination on the Emirates network for summer 2025. The company flies twice daily between Dubai and Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRU) on the island twice daily using its largest aircraft type, the Airbus A380. Meanwhile, another Indian Ocean island, Sri Lanka, has seen a 32% increase as a “clear favourite for its rich cultural tapestry, pristine beaches, ‘tea country’ and affordable luxury experiences.”
GCMap..comMoving away from the Indian Ocean, Emirates says that Japan continues to be a popular destination, with flight searches growing 28% year-on-year, “with its unique culture, stunning landscapes, modern cities, and delectable cuisine blending balance and artistry.” Emirates operates 21 weekly flights to three destinations in Japan, including Tokyo-Narita (NRT), Tokyo-Haneda (HND), and Osaka-Kansai (KIX).
Next on the list is France, rounding out the top five destinations with a solid 25% increase in flight searches. Emirates states it is “helping meet traveller demand” by offering multiple flights during summer 2025, with Paris-Charles De Gaulle (CDG) seeing 21 weekly flights (three daily A380 services), a daily A380 service to Nice (NCE), and a daily A350 flight to Lyon (LYS).

In the UAE itself, Emirates has seen a 13% rise in flight searches overall, and the airline has witnessed a year-on-year increase in searches to destinations like Sri Lanka, Jordan, France, India, Lebanon, and Morocco. Travellers from the US flying Emirates have been increasingly focusing their searches on African points like Egypt, Kenya, and South Africa, while UK travellers are searching 12% more than last year on the booking engine, “with increasing interest to far flung destinations like New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Sri Lanka and Mauritius.”
Indian travellers are seeking more opportunities to venture out towards destinations further afield, such as Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland in 2025, while the airline notes that Australian travellers are focusing on their European summer plans, with a rise in searches to France and the UK. Over the past year, German travellers have been drawn eastbound with higher search levels to Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, and the Seychelles, the carrier adds.

According to the airline statement, “Emirates forecasts healthy inbound passenger traffic to Dubai during the summer months [in 2025], demonstrating the ongoing global appeal of the city as a ‘must-visit’ destination year-round.”
Solo travelers dominate nearly half of all US, Indian, and Australian visitors to Dubai, mixing business with leisure during stays averaging just over one week. Meanwhile, family travel tells different stories by nationality. The airline’s data shows that about 30% of US and Indian visitors travel as families, although Indian families favour shorter getaways while American families typically explore Dubai for one to two weeks. Compare to this to British visitors who often extend their Dubai experience beyond two weeks.
