Gulfstream G700 receives additional FAA clearances following type certification
After the Gulfstream G700 private jet received type certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) the aircraft manufacturer is celebrating more welcome news.
Gulfstream announced on April 8, 2024, that the FAA has additionally granted new production and interior supplemental type certifications.
The G700 cabin supplemental type certifications officially approve the interior outfitting of the aircraft and its cabin air purification system while the FAA production certification (PC) confirms that Gulfstream’s production processes for the jet are compliant with federal aviation regulations.
To grant production certification the FAA completed an extensive audit of Gulfstream’s engineering, supplier, manufacturing and quality systems to ensure the aircraft will be produced in accordance with the FAA-approved design.
“Receiving these additional clearances so quickly on the heels of FAA type certification showcases how mature the G700 program is,” Mark Burns, President of Gulfstream, said. “Thanks to the investments made in advanced manufacturing and interior innovations, operators will benefit from the industry leading quality, fit and finish of the G700. We look forward to our customers experiencing firsthand the cabin comfort and performance capabilities of this fine aircraft.”
Gulfstream announced on March 29, 2024, that the new G700 jet had obtained its type certification from the FAA.
