IndiGo codeshares with China Southern as flights between India and China resume
IndiGo, India’s fastest-growing airline, has commenced daily, non-stop flights between Delhi and Guangzhou, effective 10 November 2025. The flights on the new route are operated using IndiGo’s A320neo fleet of aircraft and operate daily in each direction.
Following recent diplomatic efforts to restore ties between India and China after a hiatus of five years, IndiGo announced on October 2, 2025, the planned resumption of services between the two countries. The airline said, as a consequence of the warming in international relations, it would begin connecting Kolkata (CCU) to Guangzhou (CAN) with daily, non-stop flights starting on October 26, 2025. The airline has now added direct Delhi-Guangzhou flights to its schedule.
The resumption of services “aims to re-establish avenues for cross-border trade and strategic business partnerships and promote tourism between the two nations,” said the airline at the time of the original route announcement.
