Japan Airlines unveils new Disney-themed Boeing 767-300ER
Japan Airlines (JAL) has unveiled a new special livery called the ‘JAL Fantastic Journey Express’.
The design is inspired by ‘Fantasy Springs’, a new area within the Tokyo DisneySea® theme park, located in the Japanese capital. Fantasy Springs opened in June 2024 and features themes from the films ‘Peter Pan’, ‘Frozen’ and ‘Tangled’ from the US animation studio.
The new livery will be painted on a Boeing 767-300ER (registration JA622J), which the Japanese carrier uses on domestic flights.
Japan Airlines has been a long-time sponsor of the Tokyo DisneySea® Park and has painted five other aircraft with Disney motifs since 2001.
As is common in such cases, the themed experience will not be restricted to the outside of the aircraft. Passengers flying on this aircraft will also find many Disney-themed elements onboard, such as headrest covers, paper cups, commemorative gifts, and boarding pass stickers.
Two Disney songs, ‘You Can Fly! You Can Fly! You Can Fly!’ and ‘Journey to Fantasy Springs’, will also be played during boarding and deplaning, adding to the experience.
This B767-300ER will start operating with the new paint scheme in early October 2024. To check which routes and flights it will serve Japan Airlines has put together a dedicated website (in Japanese). The post Japan Airlines unveils new Disney-themed Boeing 767-300ER appeared first on AeroTime.
