Jetstar to launch A321LR flights from Sunshine Coast to Bali via Singapore
Jetstar will begin operating direct flights from Sunshine Coast Airport (MCY) to Bali’s Denpasar Airport (DPS) with connections via Singapore Changi Airport (SIN).
The flights will commence on March 25, 2026, marking the first international service of its kind from the regional Queensland airport.
The airline will operate three weekly flights to Bali using its Airbus A321LR fleet, providing approximately 70,000 seats annually. Flight time is expected to be six hours.
The service represents Jetstar’s first direct connection between Sunshine Coast and Bali, and its tenth direct Australian route to the popular Indonesian destination. It follows the airline’s launch of Gold Coast-Bali flights earlier this year and becomes the fourth Bali service from Queensland.
Singapore connections
Flight schedules are designed to connect with existing Jetstar services between Bali and Singapore, allowing same-day travel from Sunshine Coast to Singapore with a stopover in Bali.
The route also creates a new entry point for travelers from Singapore and Southeast Asia to reach the Sunshine Coast region.
Jetstar launched a 48-hour promotional sale with one-way fares from Sunshine Coast to Bali starting at $AU199 (USD $130), on the airline’s website.

“We’re proud to be the first airline to connect the Sunshine Coast to Bali and Singapore. It’s a great win for travellers wanting an easy international getaway,” Tully said. “With direct flights to Bali, travellers can trade hours on the road to Brisbane for extra time in paradise and enjoy more of what makes this island paradise so special. Jetstar is proud to be the largest carrier operating in South-East Queensland and we’re excited to continue expanding our network to meet strong low fares demand.”
The new service eliminates the need for Sunshine Coast residents to travel approximately 100 kilometers south to Brisbane Airport for international flights to Bali or Singapore. For inbound tourism, it creates direct access to the Sunshine Coast region without requiring transfers through Brisbane.
The A321LR aircraft type is designed for extended-range operations, enabling airlines to serve longer routes with single-aisle aircraft. Jetstar’s deployment of this aircraft on the Sunshine Coast-Bali route reflects the carrier’s assessment of market demand for the connection.
