Korean Air boosts flight frequencies to Southeast Asia for winter season
Korean Air announced that it will expand its frequencies to select destinations in Southeast Asia to meet the growing demand of travelers seeking warmer weather during the upcoming winter season.
Destinations that will see increased flights from Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN) include I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Bali, Cam Ranh International Airport (CXR) in Nha Trang and Phu Quoc International Airport (PQC), both in Vietnam.
Starting October 20, 2024, Korean Air will increase flights on the Seoul to Bali route, offering a twice-daily service, an increase from the current 11 weekly flights. The route will be operated with the airline’s Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner. The schedule will continue throughout the 2024/25 winter season which ends on March 27, 2025
The airline will also double its daily service on its Seoul-Nha Trang route from October 27, 2024 and Seoul-Phu Quoc route from December 15, 2024.
The airline also plans to enhance schedules to Taiwan, increasing its services to Kagoshima Airport (KOJ) and Taichung Airport (TXG) to a daily service throughout the winter season.
Increased flights to North America and Europe
The South Korean flag carrier will also increase its frequencies to North America and Europe.
From October 27, 2024, the route between Seoul and Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas will expand to a daily service from five weekly flights. The Seoul-Vancouver International Airport (YVR) route will increase to 11 flights per week, followed by a twice-daily service from December 1, 2024.
The airline will also increase its Seoul Incheon-Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport (MAD) service to four weekly flights, up from the current three.
