National Airlines places first order for four Boeing 777 Freighters
US cargo and passenger charter carrier National Airlines has committed to placing an initial order for four Boeing 777 Freighters (777F) to enhance the airline’s commercial cargo service and expand its global fleet market.
The order was announced on July 22, 2024, during the opening day of the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) in the United Kingdom.
“We appreciate National Airlines for its trust in Boeing and the 777 Freighter to grow the carrier’s global fleet and deliver greater value for its customers,” Stephanie Pope, President and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, stated in a press release. “With its cargo capacity, range and reliability, operators continue to rely on the 777 Freighter to build their future fleets, making it the best-selling freighter of all time.”
According to Boeing, the 777F is the longest-range twin-engine aircraft, and can fly up to 9,200 kilometers and carry 107 tons of cargo.

Boeing said the 777F is designed to integrate seamlessly with the 747-400F, enabling the airline to easily move cargo between two aircraft. This will streamline ground logistics and leverage additional cost savings.
Currently Boeing has delivered more than 270 777 Freighters and expects to see demand for nearly 2,845 new freighters over the next 20 years due to growing global trade and e-commerce. The post National Airlines places first order for four Boeing 777 Freighters appeared first on AeroTime.
