Il governo britannico ha stipulato un contratto da 9 miliardi di sterline con Rolls-Royce Submarines Ltd per rafforzare la flotta di sottomarini nucleari della Royal Navy. Denominato “Unity”, l’accordo prevede la progettazione, la produzione e i servizi di supporto per i reattori nucleari che alimentano questi sottomarini. Questo investimento creerà oltre 1.000 nuovi posti di lavoro nel Regno Unito e ne salvaguarderà altri 4.000, promuovendo la crescita economica e migliorando la sicurezza nazionale.
