Leonardo: dimostrata nel Regno Unito capacità di integrazione tra un elicottero AW159 e un UAV

Il 17 settembre Leonardo ha dimostrato con successo capacità uniche di integrazione tra velivoli con e senza pilota a bordo, definite operazioni di Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUMT). Tale attività dimostrativa si è svolta nel Regno Unito nel corso di prove che hanno coinvolto un elicottero Leonardo AW159 Wildcat e un velivolo a pilotaggio remoto (UAV – Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) semi-autonomo fornito da Callen-Lenz Associates.

USS Zumwalt fires SM-2 using MK 57

USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000) has successfully executed the first live fire test of the MK 57 Vertical Launching System with a SM-2 missile interceptor on the Naval Air Weapons Center Weapons Division Sea Test Range, Point Mugu, Oct. 13.
