Philippine Airlines reintroduces flights from Clark Airport to Batanes
Philippine Airlines has announced the reintroduction of flights from Clark International Airport (CRK) to Basco Airport (BSO), Batanes.
Philippine Airlines confirmed on April 22, 2024, the resumption of the service that means many passengers visiting Batanes will no longer need to change at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNA) in Manila.
Flights will depart from Clark Airport to Basco Airport every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 11:00 local time and return at 13:00.
Known as the ‘Home of the Winds’, Batanes is an idyllic and dramatic area to visit and is the Philippines’ most northerly island.
“Convenient connectivity is essential for travelers who wish to experience our island-destinations. We will endeavor to reopen more routes out of Clark as we continue to grow our network from Central Luzon,” said PAL President and COO Stanley Ng.
Ng added: “We appreciate the support of Clark LIPAD (Luzon International Premiere Airport Development) as we expand our Clark operations.”
Philippine Airlines confirmed that the reestablished route will commence on July 2, 2024, with a De Havilland Dash 8-400 next generation.
In a social media post celebrating the news Philippine Airlines said: “Unlocking another gateway to scenic wonders as PAL announces the resumption of flights from Clark to Basco! Embark on a journey filled with breathtaking landscapes as we reconnect you to Batanes from the convenience of Clark International Airport.”
